remembering the wrong things behandelt einen Stillstandsmoment der menschlichen Psyche, von dem Eindruck, dass etwas schiefläuft, ein nicht zuzuordnendes Gefühl des vagen Verdachts, Angst und Unruhe. Anhand der ausgestellten Werke zeichnet sich eine verschobene Wahrnehmung ab, bei der die Außenwelt als Senderin auftritt und das Selbst als rezipierendes Gefäß das Schlimme in der Welt aufnehmen und tragen muss, und doch nicht tragen kann.
remembering the wrong things investigates a static moment within the human psyche, and seeks out the feeling of something going terribly wrong, a vague suspicion, fear, and unrest. Thoughts continue to race, while the body remains in a state of impending doom. The works shown tell a tale of shifted perception, where the signals of the outside world are mainly bad and the self as the recipient must absorb all of them, without ever really being able to bear it.
